The Key Worker System

Monitoring your child’s progress

The Key-Working system

Each child has one special member of staff to relate to, which eases the settling in process. This key-working system gives each member of staff particular responsibilities to tailor the group’s curriculum to the unique needs of each child, enabling the child to reach his or her full potential.

The Keyworker maintains links with the child’s family and records the ongoing assessments and developments of the children in their key-worker group.

Parents’ meetings are organised at set points throughout the year to enable a detailed and confidential discussion regarding your child’s progress to take place with their Keyworker.

Our Approach

Supporting your child

However, please remember we have an open-door policy, so you are more than welcome to contact your child’s Keyworker at any time to discuss your child or to inform us of any events, transitions or changes that are happening at home that may affect your child so that we can best support your child in pre-school.

Anything from sleepless nights, moving house, a new baby or a bereavement (pet or human) for example.
